Project Jaunt is the working home for Twitch Diagnostics Console, a browser add-on project by John Finnerty. The project observes playback and network signals so someone troubleshooting can understand or report buffering and routing problems.

Make playback issues easier to inspect and explain
Buffering, latency, dropped frames, and CDN routing issues can be difficult to describe clearly. Project Jaunt explores a practical troubleshooting surface that turns browser observations into visible logs and exportable evidence.
CDN request context
The project tracks connected video CDN hosts, request counts, response times, status codes, byte counts, and delivery type.
Exportable reports
The prototype includes local JSON diagnostics export paths for troubleshooting or support conversations.
Privacy and troubleshooting boundaries
Observe signals; do not alter the stream
The project documentation is clear that Twitch Diagnostics Console is for diagnostics only. It does not change Twitch playback, force CDNs, proxy traffic, bypass Twitch behavior, or send diagnostics to a server.
Local diagnostics
Diagnostics are stored locally in memory while the Twitch tab is open.
User-controlled exports
JSON exports are created only when the user chooses copy or download.
Versioned add-on code
The source archive preserves browser add-on code, README instructions, packaging artifacts, and documentation in version control.
